Our crowdfunding campaign: help us create two more books!Fans, we are proud and excited to announce, that we've launched a crowdfunding campaign on a Belarusian very own platform called Ulej.by. From March 30 to May 18 YOU have the chance to support the project you know and love. You can help make our dream come true: we want to make more awesome stuff for you!
We would love to create two more boooks: We believe that Belarus is a country of great people, culture and talent that screams for more positive attention and celebration worldwide. Our mission is to do exactly that! More specifically we have two goals set out: The first one is to celebrate Belarus worldwide by writing in English about the country and secondly by promoting Belarusian language inside the country. So our journey began in November 2014 when we started our first blog: www.etobelarusdetka.com, which in less than a year turned into a bestselling book. This incredible positive response has gotten us all fired up and ready to embark on a new adventure! We would like to present to our (future) readers two more books about Belarus and offer everyone the chance to enjoy exclusive handmade product from Belarusian designers. To continue with our mission and passion we would like to write two more books, and for this we need your support! The first book that we want to write is for children and grown ups (you are never too old to read a fairy tale!) based on Belarusian folklore fairy tales with a modern Heta Belarus Dzietka twist. The idea is to REVIVE an old Belarusian fairy tale by rewriting and redrawing some elements but keeping the general storyline. With this book we aim to involve children (and parents) into getting to know their Belarusian traditional folklore fairy tales and Belarusian language. The second book is about Belarusian history. We want to celebrate Belarusian historical moments before 1917, that shaped the Belarus of today and her identity. Therefore, Marta and Masha have to go back in time and report in short stories on the period of Russian empire, Grand Duchy of Lithuania and more, in Heta Belarus Dzietka style! |
